So what's it like in your neck of the woods? I live in a fairly unprotected spot at the top of a hill, so my street has been full of the sounds of debris flying around. My cat hates it - she's mainly just cowering indoors (scaredy cat!).

My commutes to work down the M1 have been fairly.. er... interesting over the past two days as well! At least I wasn't on a boat though...

I was hoping to go to Scotland this weekend, but can't because I've got things to do here. Probably a good thing - it looks like it'll be windy & avalanche prone - but I was hoping to get out & do some climbing nearby. Hopefully the crags won't all be completely submerged in snow!

Yesterday was a little gusty, although luckily calmed by the evening, although was freezing for frisbee training. Is actually still and sunny now down in hampshire, but they actually forecast a dust of snow by next week.

If you want to know why its because of la nina, - the reverse of el nino, normal conditions arenow stronger then they "should" be causing the atlantic to be colder then normal, has meant the jet stream has shifted which is cause of these conditions now

Sounds really interesting, but I'm not quite sure of what you are saying. The gulf stream has moved away from the uk? Is that why it's so cold - it's *really* blasting it down with snow here, right now.

No, no has shifted more towards us, and is colder and wetter

It's bitterly cold here! Has been all week. Not rainy though, been quite refreshing generally! Just have to keep wrapped up!
