I watched the second half of it, nutter! Free soloing! takes a specal kind of nutter.....
I'm scared-ish of heights- not good for anything higher than a pitch!

I saw this. He seemed like a really nice guy (and really brave!). I'd hate to think what might happen to stuff beneath him when he eventually falls though.

What a guy. I'm sure I saw on another documentary that he has a bad sense of balance as a result of inner ear damage sustained in a fall. He has to be holding on to something or he falls over.
Having said that the way he stands on the edge of those buildings it doesn't seem to bother him that much.
Best telly in ages.

not sure about the inner ear imbalance, but it did say that after a fall - whilst on ropes as a kid - he sustained a major head injury and now suffers from occassional bouts of epilepsy which he takes medication for - which had run out when he was attempting to do the building in shanghai

I noticed that in the programme too. With that and the epilepsy there must be a pretty big risk of something going wrong that's completely out of his control (despite how much he trains for it, and says how it's a minimised risk). I guess he'll keep doing it until he falls off. We all have to go some way I guess though - he must be having fun!
