Urgent Need A Rabbit And A Pigeon

Hi guys,

This is going to sound like a strange enquiry but i have tried absolutely everywhere.

I need a pigeon and a rabbit/hare carcass that just been shot etc rather than skinned and prepared.

This is for a small photo-shoot for my final major project for university, on a very short deadline.

How would i go about getting hold of these ASAP?? can you help at all by putting me in the right direction?

I am actually based in kingston upon thames - london for uni which probably isnt the best of locations for this kind of thing but best for me. However my home is near stratford upon avon in the midlands so i could get back near there if i was definatly secured them or by going on a hunting meet or something.

some butchers will have a license to sell game of this variety, or will know contacts with farmers who go out rabbiting
a pigeon could be more difficult as im pretty sure they'll be diseased in one way or another
another option would be a taxidermists, im sure a few still exist.
Antique shops might have some stuffed ones. if youre in london som eof the flea markets there might have some knocking around too.

hello everyone, just replying to everyones thoughts

*its not for any protest bo**ocks like that its actually a real random one for MTV, which will take a bit to explain so i wont but it should be cool if i can actually do it, which is proving amazingly difficult.

*the animals have to be shot at all, any manor of death will do! :)

*Its a 4 week project yes which is a bit short anyway, then after actually coming up with a concept and designs of other parts to the same project we have had two and a bit weeks to do these photos so...

*I thought roadkill would be easy, and after 350 miles and many hours later driving around in country roads back home and in the south, getting people to txt me sightings and look themselves i have given up on that plus they are not very fresh.

*Ive been to the massive meat market in central london at 4am opening time, they cant sell animals or birds with skins or feathers anymore as its against the law apparently.

*And ive spoken to many taxidermists and they cant give me any pre-done bits as they didnt have any and they need a license etc and the final ones are like £60 and i dont have that or £80 to rent :(

So anyone know of where i can get a rabbit!!??, i think thanks to ferretman i may be able to sort a pigeon.

go to a nice big roundabout can be near a motorway but not too near like, it has to have plenty of grass and bushes on it.
get ur air rifle (possible shotgun etc but they tend to be quite noticable when u pull the trigger) and go down there sunrise time, maybe a bit before. make sure theres no cars gunna ge in the way and shoot one.
worked for me! lol
