This may not be a fair comparrison with the Mountain equipment windstopper guide jacket, prevuiously reviewed, but it is its replacement.
This jacket actually is windproof and doesnt allow so much of a slice of wind through. It is also, as you would expect with aqua dry fabric, immensly waterproof, and althought ive only had it a few weeks, it had held up to the torrential showers we've been experienceing lately.
The water just beads up and rolls away, marvellous stuff.
However, the only downside is it does look like some of the polyprop rubbish jackets warn by people who wear white trainers and hang around smoking on street corners
it has great amounts of flexibility and am looking forward to testing it out on some hills asap.
And also it was bought for the cut price of only £50, a 30 quid reduction of RRP. Was from a great little shop in Glossop, derbyshire, just outside the peak district national park
