Another sad tale of otherwise intelligent people behaving like muppets:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2055509,00.html
In case the story disappears before you get to see it, two families, including three children between two and five years old, set out up the Miners track on Snowdon at 1.00pm on a February afternoon. At 6.30pm they phone 999 from the summit where high winds have bought the wind-chill down to -19 degrees C.
One of the party was wearing trainers, and they had no map, compass or torch with them.
Do we have any other Muppet stories (with happy endings) to share?
