BEEN Just come back from a couple of days of multi pitching in North wales - scaled North Buttress up tryfan - and 540 foot welsh mod - 6 pitches of which i lead three
an awesome climb, with some great views, so amazing having lunch sitting on a ledge with your bag clipped in and hanging at your feet.
topped out and walked to tryfan peak and was going to have a go at jumping between adam and eve, but the wind up there was horrendous - luckily the climbs where relatively sheltered - so we just descended and had supper at one of the local pub/restaurants
second day did a 460 foot, 4 pitch v diff at ibwall slabs - was going to have a shot at tennis shoe - a classic in that area, but as the weather looked wank thought would have a go at somehting a little easier, which is fortunate really as my climbing partner was knackard after sat - and he is recovering from a hernia - and so i had to lead 3 of the 4 pitches on that climb, it actually turned out into another awesome days climbing

the only downer was that when we returned to the car we noticed that the tire was flat and as it was after 4pm on a sunday we werent able to get a replacemtn so ended up driving all the way back to bucks from north wales on a space saver and limited to 50mph!

I bet the people stuck behind you doing 50mph were pleased! :p It could be worse, I guess. You could have been a tractor....

To be honest, I'd never even heard of these "space saver" tyres - I've always kept proper spares.
