Pros:

  1. More breathable than any other jacket I've owned. After 4hrs of fast running & biking in a variety of weather (wet / sunny / hail / snow) there was only a minimal amount of condensation inside the jacket.
  2. Fantastic hood - it fitted comfortably over both my bare head & a bike helmet with good visibility when turning around. Also, the size adjuster on the back of the hood was very easy to use while wearing it, which hasn't always been the case with other jackets.
  3. Really comfortable, with an excellent fit (even for running which is when most jackets get on my nerves!). Half the time I forgot I was wearing it. In particular, the longer than average arms are fantastic when you're stretching to reach a handhold & don't want soggy cuffs. This is probably specific to my shape, but it's a big plus point nonetheless.
  4. It's early days yet, but it seems to be durable. The material has so far been unaffected by the inevitable scuffs against rock and dragging through thorns that are part and parcel of the outdoors experience! I'll probably have more to say on this point in a year or two though....

Cons:

  1. Fiddly zip which got stuck a few times. This may have been due to the fact that I was zipping/unzipping with cold fingers while on the move (i.e. running downhill at full pelt), but it was annoying all the same!
  2. Fiddly hood tighteners at the front. The rest of the hood was fantastic, but the adjusters at the front were fiddly. Again, this may have been because I was trying to operate them with cold hands while moving fast, but it was still frustrating.

Overall, apart from a couple of fiddly things, it's a good jacket & well worth the money. Aside from being waterproof, I think the most important things are breathability, hood & fit - it ticks all those boxes with ease.
